Trevean Way, Newquay
Located over looking the river Gannel, the clients brief was to design a modern property with a nautical feel. With a bow front and a double storey height main living space, this property certainly achieves its goal. Its light and airy, and provides four bedrooms over 3 levels. The build quality is also very high to match the design.

Mawgan Porth
This site has extensive views across Mawgan Porth and has been undeveloped for around 20 years. The brief was to design a modern property that would fit with the character of the estate, and give as much solar gain as possible. Using 3D modeling techniques, and photo-montages we negotiated an approval with the planning officer earlier this year. The design incorporates a ground source heating system, sprinklers and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery in order to minimise the energy usage on the site.

Commercial
Bar Help - Newquay
From an early life as a builders merchant to garage to amusement arcade and now to a bar/restaurant. With a tight site and two natural springs running under the site, this conversion was technically difficult to achieve. With a lot of co-operation from all parties including client, engineer and contractor the result is a modern watering hole located in the heart of New quay's night life.
Carnmarth Hotel - Newquay
We have worked on the Carnmarth Hotel for 19 years, and built up a good working relationship with the clients. This latest project involved the construction of an external decking area and new extension to the bar lounge and reception, and new balconies over. The scheme was split into two phases to reduce the impact on the trading period of the hotel, and was carried out a couple of years apart with different contractors. The end result is a high quality terrace and bar area.

Whitelodge Hotel - Mawgan Porth
Recently completed, this project involved the demolition of an 18 bedroom hotel and construction of 9 new residential units. The brief was to maximise the density of units without causing conflict to the neighbours and ensuring that the final design fits in with the landscape.
To provide the accommodation we lowered the ground level, and constructed the roof in a conical shape. The development of a 3D model ensured that the planning authority and local residents understood and supported the proposals. The site is on sand so the foundations use concrete piles and a series of ground beams to support the structure. The construction was carried out by a local contractor, giving us the opportunity to inspect the joinery items prior to installation.

Crantock Bay Hotel - Crantock
This project has developed over a number of years and we have recently obtained planning permission. We have used a number of techniques including 3D modeling and photo-montages and carried out extensive consultation to obtain support from local residents and planning officers. Hopefully we will be commencing soon with preparing building regulations drawings and construction drawings with a projected start on site next October.
